In case you haven't seen it, the news broke out this week about my partnership with Mad Cave Studios' brilliant comics development and publishing team. I can’t disclose significant details beyond those already mentioned in the announcement, but I can provide a heads-up on a few interesting tidbits regarding this development:

THE FIRST TITLE WILL BE ANNOUNCED THIS SUMMER

Soon, a press release will announce the first original, issue-based comic series that I created, pitched, sold, wrote, and art directed as part of this collaboration. The press release will reveal the title, the concept, and some artwork, as well as discuss the subject matter. This title is more personal and reflects my ideal taste in media. It's the type of content I've been advocating for loudly and proudly for many years now. What it means is that….

YOU'RE ABOUT TO SEE A DIFFERENT SIDE OF ME

Despite my goofy persona, it may surprise some of you to learn that I'm a passionate history buff with a keen interest in politics, business, philosophy, and power structures. This title reflects the serious side of my personality and explores topics and themes that can be alienating to the more holistic and artistic social and professional circles I'm usually a part of. While it still has a prominent fantastical element in it, this story stands in stark contrast to the content I produce for clients in my professional career.

So, this summer you'll learn more about the FIRST title. But...

MORE ORIGINAL COMICS COMING NEXT YEAR

I can't really say much about this mystery title, because it's slated for Fall 2024 and is still in early production, but what I CAN say is that:

It's a title I co-created with Elliot Sperl, who's my frequent writing partner and also the co-creator of the original Humanoids Publishing produced graphic novels we're currently working on.
It's also an issue-based series.
We've been developing it for quite a while and it's an IP that went through many iterations before reaching its ideal state and getting snatched by the awesome Mad Cave Studios crew.
It's a unique supernatural thriller that will feel like an insane emotional and visual rollercoaster. It's gonna be a blast!

Well...here's a bit of news:

I'M ATTENDING NEW YORK COMIC CON 2023

Once again, I'm gonna stay vague regarding the specifics, but I will be attending Comic Con 2023 for somewhat obvious reasons.

If you're in NY at around that time, let me know. I'll have some cool stuff to show and talk about. And don't worry, this summer I'll be able to spill the beans...

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE...

This year will be a big one for me, but after this first series launches- a truly insane 2024-2025 schedule awaits. With 3 additional originals already in the pipe from both Mad Cave Studios and Humanoids Publishing, and a few NEW ones already in development, I'm about to embark on a journey I've been working towards since I immigrated to this country so many years ago. Thank you to everyone who's been supportive, helpful, and kind. Great things are coming and I can't wait to tell you more about what I have in store.

It's worth noting that I started Mindpsplatter. with the goal of making it into a direct communication channel between me and my target audience. So sure! Right now the audience is comprised of the usual suspects: studios and network execs, friends, family, and industry colleagues. But once titles hit the shelves, Mindsplatter will become a tool for me to share more insight, and information about my series and to share treats directly with my consumer base. It already built a solid and steady following, so here's to YOU, loyal OG Splatterheads!
